I tip my hat to Governor Kitzhaber of Oregon.? He has proclaimed that May 6 ? 12 is going to be ?Be Kind to Animals Week?.? While I?m certain that readers of my blog are always kind to their animal companions, the week is still an important one to celebrate ? time to celebrate that wonderful relationships, and strong, loving bonds, that exist betweens humans and their pets.
Let me state for the record that my human is super kind and loving to me.? Not only that, we are real pals.? But, I must admit that I wonder if he sometimes takes me for granted.? You know ?. takes for granted that I?ll always wake him up in the morning with a kiss and a cuddle.? Or, like when he comes home and I will greet him like he is the greatest thing on the planet.? Or, that he has a willing and eager companion just waiting to go for walks or hikes.? What would he do with out me?!
So, to all you pet-owners out there.? Be kind to your pets all year round ? but consider telling your pet just how much they mean to you be doing something ulta-special with them during ?Be Kind to Animals Week?.? They?ll love you for it!
